As the Gen X and Y celebrities are moving into motherhood, we see stars like Britney being walking motherhood don’ts, nay, motherhood horrors, and we are left wondering if the world really seems to be coming to an end. Well, not really. If we can look at celebrities like Liv Tyler, whom I wrote about before, then we see that there is hope.
jamielynnspears.png Another Spears is making the headlines. Only this time, the target is not Britney Spears but her younger sister Jamie Lynn. For those of you who don't know, Jamie Lynn stars in a Nickelodeon show called Zoey 101. I still remember the first time she was introduced to the world of acting. My initial thought was that she looked every inch like her sister! They could have been twins except for the obvious height difference. However, their personalities seemed to be different as well. While Britney was always attracting negative attention to herself, Jamie Lynn was the ...
After 717 shows since March 2003, Canadian singer Celine Dion's Las Vegas Show 'A New Day' finally comes to an end at Caesar's Palace. The show's run was meant to start much earlier into the new millennium but Dion had to push the date back after knowing she was pregnant. After giving birth and after the construction of a spanking new theater specially designed for the dimensions needed for the performances in the show. The artist best known for popularizing the motion picture's Titanic theme song ("My Heart Will Go On"), signed a 100 million USD deal with Caesar's Palace ...
She’s raging mad. After showing off her butt, she wants to kick the butts of those who took those “revealing” photos. An angry Jennifer Love Hewitt is defending her curves after photos of her in a bikini were ridiculed on the Internet. "I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized," the 28-year-old actress writes on her Web site. "To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image." The photos show Hewitt, with a bit of cellulite, ...
liv tyler and milo langdonI was just trying to lighten things up a bit, because I was getting too focused on working when I found this AOL.com stash of celebrity baby videos. My favorite was Liv Tyler’s baby, Milo Langdon. I liked how he said “please” when he wanted the camera flashes to stop irritating his eyes. And I’m sure the paps found that adorable too. While I was watching Kingston Rossdale’s (Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s son) video, I couldn’t help realizing how the stars we so envy actually live lifestyles that are not so envy-eliciting after all.
A destructuve man-made virus has plagued the whole of New York City. Only one man and his dog are spared. For some reason, scientist Robert Neville (played by Will Smith), is immune to this virus. For three consecutive years, he has made attempts to communicate with the outside world without fail. But as soon as night falls, shadows rule the depraved city. These shadows are called The Infected-- those who have been transmutated by the virus. It is up to Neville to find a cure. But how long can he survive? Recently, I find myself frequenting cinemas. ...
When it comes to music, the Black Eyed Peas aren’t really up there on my favorite list, but what I like about them were their sensible ditties, like the song that cried out for peace, “Where is the Love”. After the Black Eyed Peas furor, we have Fergie going off on her own and making catchy ditties like “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Glamorous”. Get ready for another pseudo-philosophical musing on Fergie's songs, this time.
This "drunk" elephant must have been injected with LSD. Nuts in the ice cream, nuts in the coffee, nuts in the choco bar, nuts in the office, nuts at home, nuts in the streets, nuts everywhere! The world is really full of nutty people! The journal New Scientist recently showed the evidence of this. It featured the “Top 10 Craziest Scientific Experiments of All Time.” There’s actually an 11th experiment. A writer tried to stop the space-time continuum -- ala Hiro of “Heroes” -- by … removing the batteries of all the wall clocks inside his house. Well, I guess I’m ...
It was a stunning revelation that almost made my eyes pop out of their sockets. Imagine the revered bearded wizard and Headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, deeply in love with another wizard – a MALE wizard? Yes, J. K. Rowling, author of the mega-selling Harry Potter fantasy series that ended last summer, has revealed that Dumbledore, one of the series’ main characters, was a gay. Whew! I’m sure glad Rowling didn’t turn Harry and Ron Weasley into gays, too, or Hermione Granger into a lesbian. Otherwise, the titles of J. K. Rowling’s books would have been “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s ...
Move over Scarlett Johansson. A “Monster” has come to take your place. No, not the scary monster – the sexy “Monster” is the one. In fact, she's now the holder of the title “Sexiest Woman Alive.” Charlize Theron  The title now belongs to the South African actress and fashion model Charlize Theron, who is best known for her portrayal of Aileen Wuornos in the film “Monster,” for which she won an Academy Award. Theron (born August 7, 1975) is featured in the Oct. 16 cover of "Esquire" magazine. Past winners of the title include Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson. Moviegoers were first ...
