A week after bold pronouncements of eventual retirement should his album Curtis end up trailing Kanye West's latest album Graduation, rapper 50 Cent must be seriously reconsidering the implications of what he said. Both albums hit the market September 11 and the initial sales numbers are in. According to Nielsen Soundscan, a respected tabulating body that deals with artists' worldwide record sales, Kanye West just barely missed the one million record mark by registering a robust total of 957,000 copies. Rapper 50 Cent has boldly declared that he will stop releasing solo material if his album doesn't outsell Kanye West's newest effort. Both albums drop to record stores September 11 and the stakes couldn't be higher. 50 Cent's last album - "The Massacre" was the best selling album of 2005. The 7 foot six inches tall Houston Rockets center painstakingly arranged a marriage despite still recovering from an injury-filled and intense NBA season. While winding up for working on some other writing projects, I started flipping through the channels, looking for something informative or entertaining to watch. I was thinking of going for either BBC, CNN or a documentary-type thing when, when I flipped to ETC, I spotted Jay Manuel, whom I had adored on Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model, and decided to stay on. The show, I realized, is named "Style Her Famous," and since I'm a little too lazy to look it up right now, I think it seems to be another makeover show. Don't we all love makeovers?
