In this day and age, technology could make or break your relationships, or your family. While some wives get irritated at the plasma TV’s hogging their husbands’ attention, or some husbands who are irritated with their wives’ MacBooks because these things hog lots of their women’s time, I believe the intrusion of technology into our lives just might prove to help our relationships instead of damage them.
Many women are worrying for all the wrong reasons. What a waste of energy that could have been spent for more beneficial purposes! Many people already know that females of all ages tend to worry more and have more intense worries than males. Women also tend to perceive more risk in situations and grow more anxious than men. Now two new studies explain why women behave this way. Both studies say women tend to worry more than men because they, more than men, tend to believe that past experiences accurately forecast the future. The researches, involving both 3- to 6-year-olds and adults ...
Children tend to live a painful life, I believe. Just think about all that rejection when adults don't pay them attention. They don't seem to mind it if I just push them aside, but I tend to think that they actually get affected. Because *I* would get affected. But it's a wonder to me why God created this system of being wherein, when we grow older, we don't pursue the same interests that kids have anymore. So if you're a mom, how would you be able to relate to your kids?
As I was writing my article on "Style Her Famous," I was also watching "Try My Life." Because of that, I couldn't help realizing how deep was the chord it struck in me. The storyline of the angsty punk girl who's switching lives with her straitlaced  "reserved" mother was only too close to the storyline between me and my own mother.
Is your dog a natural comedian? Making you laugh when he sees you’re down? We have heard about -- and actually seen -- dogs that are intelligently funny. But most of the times we just dismiss them as “funny” from our point of view, meaning these canines do not really intend to make us smile or laugh. The doggie would like to kiss the bride, too!   But now there’s more and more talk going on that dogs, at least some of them, do have a sense of humor – and sometimes of rumor as well as when they try to ...
There's too much news recently about several female celebrities who have gone over the edge, such as Paris Hilton (who has reportedly done a copmlete 180-degree turn from living wild), Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan--all of whom we've been featuring here on Froodee, and who probably deserve their own main categories in the sidebar! Here's a breath of fresh air from yet another celebrity that the youth today are looking up to. Emma Watson played Hermione Granger in the five Harry Potter films so far, and is slated to reprise her role in the two remaining film installments. ...
dd I am ten weeks pregnant and I count the days until the first trimester is over (14 days, yipee). I dont remember ever feeling this sick with my eldest (now a spirited 5 year-old) nor my second (the sweetest 2 year-old boy in the universe). Ok, I vaguely recall running to the bathroom after taking a whiff of a sausage roasting in the oven when I was pregnant with my son. The aroma of stickily burnt Cumberland still makes me feel queasy to this day. Or the time we were touring vineyards in New ...
This year is shaping out to be a great year for family movies. Parents wanting to bond with their kids will surely be happy with the movie selection this year. Here's a list of movies coming out (or that are already out but you can still catch) that both you and your kids can enjoy. Evan Almighty (PG) Evan Almighty Evan Almighty is a blockbuster earning around $20 million on its opening night, which isn't as big as Bruce Almighty's earnings but is still big enough to be one of the top earners ...
Big Family = Big Love The second season of Big Love began last June 11th and it seems to be having as much success as it did last year when it first premiered. This is good news for the fans of the series and for those still mourning the loss of Sopranos. Of course the two have very different plots and storylines but at least you get to see another really good HBO series about a very non-conventional family. For those who haven't seen the TV series yet Big Love revolves around the life ...
A mother-daughter spat is nothing extraordinary, but when a daughter goes to court to seek a restraining order against her very own mom, that’s Britney, a name that has become synonymous for “extraordinary.” Contrary to recent reports that Britney and her mother were mending past differences and moving forward with a positive relationship, new claims tell a different story - things are actually worse than could be imagined. Britney Spears with mother Britney Spears (right) talks with her mother inside her car days before they decided not to see each other anymore. The story ...
