The European Union has mobilized its authorities to ban Chinese milk products for children. This move is seen worldwide as China has also admitted that their milk candies contains a chemical called melamine. This chemical was noted as an ingredient in making plastic containers.
In a CNN report, we quote:
Guanshengyuan, the manufacturer, had already recalled its exports of White Rabbit Creamy Candies because they contained unacceptable levels of the chemical melamine, the Xinhua news agency said.
Food-safety authorities around the globe have pulled the candies from shelves in places that include Australia, New Zealand, ...
Many families don't get the joy of having a pet because one or another family member suffers from allergies. This is a shame because when it comes to man's best friend, there are actually at least 20 breeds that can live in harmony with those who have an allergy or deal with asthma. So don't make the mistake of thinking your only option is the Poodle!
While no dog is completely dander free (dander is the cause of most dog related allergies) the following 20 breeds will be fine for most people:

I've read somewhere that "you are what you eat", and I couldn't help but agree. While this is in no way a health post, I'd like to side-step to say that maybe "what we eat is how we feel". I mean think about it, don't we crave for that special food when we are happy, sad, in serious time or crazy moments? Ah, yeah we do crave for ice cream to soothe us after a break-up, a scolding or a failure.
Mood food? I think that is so spot on, don't you?
There is research to ...
I've been thinking... are we a specie driven by weights? From the time one is born it is a standard for one to be placed on top of a scale. I would understand that, plus the occasional weighing in for health and/or professional purposes as age progresses. For some culture the heavier one is the better, for some... less is more appropriate. To the greater majority the average varies, depending on which magazines you read. :)
A lot of people get really stressed out if they appear to be heavier than what they would want. ...
During my school days my teacher would always catch one of my classmates sleeping during lecture. I kid you not, and I know you have fond memories that are alike. Sleep is important, it recharges the body with needed "idle" time. Muscles flex and contract the whole day and they just need to be put into "neutral" position. When the body says you need a shut-eye, it is hard to resist. To avoid embarrassment of being caught sleeping at inappropriate times follow these suggestions:
- set a schedule
- exercise
- avoid ...

Sleeping Beauty must have been a shapeless, ordinary-looking fat woman before she took off for her legendary trip to Dreamlandia.
But when she woke up after almost an eternity of sleep, ah … most of her fats were gone and her beauty awoken as well!
This new version of Sleeping Beauty would in all likelihood get the support of a group of researchers in France who found out recently that extra hours of sleep at night could be the key to shedding excess weight and fighting obesity.
"More sleep could be the ideal way of stabilizing weight or slimming," said neuro-scientist ...

You've worked hard, lived hard, played hard, loved hard & ran the marathon in bright successful colors. By the time you pause and wonder what you have through the years, you'd see an old old buddy needing, IF NOT, wanting your attention. That's your body!

This news is a little sad for me because I am a huge fan of the TV sitcom “The Office”. I’ve been following this show for the past two years and have really admired all the characters. One of my personal favorites was Daryl, the Dunder Mifflin warehouseman whom Michael (the boss) always always try [...]

What is your carbon footprint? Hmm… ok, let’s start over… What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is a “measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide“.
Here’s a nifty tool from ivillage.com, an online calculator to measure carbon footprints. I think this is [...]

We all remember how good ‘ol mom would always remind us to “brush your teeth before going to bed, dear”, or “use toothpaste for heaven’s sake” or “would you please brush your molars too?”. It was good for mom to do that, if they didn’t I think half the world (or even more) would be [...]
