As the financial crisis sweeping the USA tightens its grip, it is becoming something of the norm to meet someone and get asked “so, you have a job still”?  While watching the early news it seems that the dipping isn’t even inverse plateauing at all.  I’ve watched CNN yesterday tell a story of a young family of 2 children.  Both parents getting laid off from their work on the same day.

Pass by the New York Times business and financial pages online to and see how a lot of big American brand names and businesses are showing hard times.    General Motors… driven to the brink.  Man, how depressing is that!

GM lost US$18.8 billion the first half of 2008 and it’s facing more red ink in the months to come.  Remember that General Motors is the world’s largest automaker.  If the big dip affects the big guys, I’m a little concerned how the little players are.
