After two nights of performances featuring from the 1960s, American Idol saw the elimination of the first four contestant off its roster of 24 semi-finalists. After millions of votes from all across America, Garret Haley and Colton Berry were eliminated on the guys’ side while Amy Davis and Joanne Borgella were eliminated from the girls’ side.
Seventeen year-old Garret Haley from Elida, Ohio failed to wow judges with his performance of Neil Sedaka’s ‘Breaking Up His Hard To Do’. Haley has drawn comparisons to Leif Garret and Peter Frampton due to his shaggy blond hair. Not faring much better is another celebrity look-alike. Colton Berry has more than a passing resemblance to talk show host Ellen de Generes, but that link to fame was not able to help him sale through the next round. After not doing much justice to Elvis Presley’s ‘Suspicious Minds’, the theater enthusiast was eliminated by virtue of ending up eleventh in the voting.
Amy Davis was not able bank on her experience in talent shows to go far on Idol. Davis was previously a contestant on Nashville Star - a country music singing competition — but her performance of Connie Francis’ ‘Where The Boys Are’ made her seem like a new comer. Plus-sized model Joanne Borgella finished eleventh after singing Dione Warwick’s ‘I Say A Little Prayer’.

What is your carbon footprint? Hmm… ok, let’s start over… What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is a “measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide“.
Here’s a nifty tool from ivillage.com, an online calculator to measure carbon footprints. I think this is [...]
I just got myself a PSP slim today. What fun! I already have one PSP and the reason for this purchase was to try out the player vs. player mode of Sega’s Virtual Tennis. I could tell you we played for hours! While walking in the mall, at home in the living room, and [...]
It’s not only China that’s going bike crazy, Amsterdam is following the craze with bike rentals by the thousands. If you’re heading the windmill country you may want to consider breezing through the many wonders this city has to offer by riding one of them bicycles.

We all remember how good ‘ol mom would always remind us to “brush your teeth before going to bed, dear”, or “use toothpaste for heaven’s sake” or “would you please brush your molars too?”. It was good for mom to do that, if they didn’t I think half the world (or even more) would be [...]
