"That’s very Filipino. Laughter even at the expense of others, or even if it brings trouble to others, is still something worth laughing about to Filipinos. It’s the balm for all the ills of Philippine society.

But why they call that Filipino prankster “monkey” is another issue altogether. Ah, those racist Western mariners!"

mr. you!

to give you an insight how this "filipino monkey" term was born.

filipino sailors man 80% of the world's merchant vessel.

other nationalities try to prank them by calling them "filipino monkeys".

later on, this nuisance became known as "filipino monkey" named after an unknown individual who keeps on transmitting nonsense radio messages in the gulf, pranking on vessels which are mostly filipino manned. certainly, its not a filipino.

filipinos are hard working and great people...there are more filipinos in the u.s navy than in the philippine navy.

addition:

this article is not really yours, you just added your filipino hate message on the last part!

oh come 'on...be fair

Iranian boat incident, or How to Start a War with the U.S....

I am not a history professor, nor do I play one on TV, but I do have a decent grasp on historical events. Because of this, I look at the recent “Iran Boat Incident” with both fear and some skepticism.
If one looks at the late 19th and 20th century...
