Is the Earth spinning faster than normal?
This appears to be the question in the minds of many people as they get busier and busier each day, with some even turning night into day.

As such, when these overworked people find the time to look at themselves in the mirror after waking up in the morning (if they still have time for that), they’re sometimes shocked to see a face that looks 10 years older – with wrinkles and eyebags and all that blues.
This explains why makers of beauty products are making a killing at the market as they cash in on the insecurities of aging people. For instance, Glutathione, the generic name of the latest anti-aging concoction, has spawned a variety of products – from soap, to lotions, to creams, to oral capsules.
Well known beauty expert Vicki Bello calls glutathione a master antioxidant that
boosts our immune system and detoxifies our body, making us look and feel younger, with smooth, silky, soft skin.
Glutathione has also been found effective as protection from some forms of cancer, in treating Parkinson’s disease, high blood pressure in individuals with diabetes, and men with low sperm counts.
But for renowned Indian guru Dr. Deepak Chopra, there’s really no need to resort to taking in chemicals to restore the youth in our body. He says body aging can be reversed through clean living and doing certain things without resorting to drugs or to any other chemicals.
Dr. Chopra says there are three types of aging – chronological age (which is your age according to your date of birth), biological age (which is measured by looking at certain bio markers), and psychological age (which is dependent on your attitude.)
It is now known that psychological age correlates more closely to biological age than chronological age. If you have the attitude that you get better as you grow older in every way – physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially, then you will age in a much more graceful manner, he says.
The well known biological markers of aging include: blood pressure, bone density, body temperature regulation, basal metabolic rate, immune function, sugar tolerance, muscle mass, muscle strength, skin hickness (amount of wrinkles) immune function, and sex hormone levels.
If you want to slow down or even reverse these bio markers of aging, Dr. Chopra says these are the things you have to do:
1. Change your perception of time. Don’t be in a hurry.
2. Get restful sleep.
3. Eat fresh, nutritious food.
4. Take at least two multivitamins with minerals every day.
5. Practice a mind body technique such as yoga or tai chi.
6. Exercise regularly.
7. Don’t put toxins in your life, including toxic food, toxic emotions, toxic relationships, and avoid toxic environments or toxic relationships.
8. Have a flexible attitude to minor hassles.
9. Look at so-called problems as opportunities.
10. Nurture loving relationships.
11. Always have an attitude of curiosity, learning, and wonder and spend time with children.
I’d follow Dr. Chopra any time, any day. Besides his recipe for restoring youth is definitely cheaper than the glutathione or any other products that promise to slow down the aging process. Not that I’m a cheapskate. I’m simply a believer of all things natural.
But of course there’s no harm trying glutathione. In fact, I’m going to the drug store later to buy a bottle of Vaniderm, the most potent glutathione product in the market nowadays – so they say.
This news is a little sad for me because I am a huge fan of the TV sitcom “The Office”. I’ve been following this show for the past two years and have really admired all the characters. One of my personal favorites was Daryl, the Dunder Mifflin warehouseman whom Michael (the boss) always always try [...]

What is your carbon footprint? Hmm… ok, let’s start over… What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is a “measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide“.
Here’s a nifty tool from ivillage.com, an online calculator to measure carbon footprints. I think this is [...]
I just got myself a PSP slim today. What fun! I already have one PSP and the reason for this purchase was to try out the player vs. player mode of Sega’s Virtual Tennis. I could tell you we played for hours! While walking in the mall, at home in the living room, and [...]

We all remember how good ‘ol mom would always remind us to “brush your teeth before going to bed, dear”, or “use toothpaste for heaven’s sake” or “would you please brush your molars too?”. It was good for mom to do that, if they didn’t I think half the world (or even more) would be [...]
