One of the best ways to earn a steady income is to get a job. Sometimes, though, many people are not totally contented with what they earn. They feel disgruntled when they don’t get promoted after years of service or they don’t get a raise when they feel they should.
Employees don’t realize that there are ways to get more money without even asking for a raise. Not sure how to do it?
Here are some tips you can follow moving onwards.
The Bonus
While your employer may not be open to the idea of giving you a raise, you can actually ask for the so-called spot bonus. This you can do if you feel you’re a worthy and productive employee all this time.
But first, find out from your HR department what merits a bonus from the management. From there, you can look for proof of your valuable contribution to the company.
Training and Workshop
If you’re an efficient worker, you can request your boss to send you to a training seminar or workshop related to your job. It’s a great way to upgrade your skills and gain more knowledge. At the same time, it’s an opportunity to see a new place and network with people including the executives in the industry you belong to. Who knows, you may just find your next employer there who can offer you a bigger pay.
Cellphone Discount
There are mobile phone carriers that offer discounts to employees by as much as 25 percent. You can check if your company can provide this benefit by entering the corporate or school email on the employee discount page of your phone’s carrier. This will let you find out if you’re qualified.
