Are you an avid sports fan? Is there nothing more pleasing for you than sitting down with a cold beer to enjoy your favorite team? If so, you may need to know the best places to watch the game. Sometimes, finding those places can be difficult; listed here are a few tricks to finding the best place to watch the game.
At the Bar
There are new online websites and applications that offer you the ability to find bars to watch your game. With this simple tool, you can choose which team, league, or specific game you want to watch and what area of the town you are going to be in. You can find taverns and bars that give you great screen options and have the best beers on tap. These sites give you the opportunity to see ratings for the bar as well as average cost. You can also know exactly how many and which games will be playing at the time, in case you have two favorite teams on the field. Keep an eye on this app before you go because you may find coupons for free pints as well!
At Home with Friends
There is nothing quite as comfortable as a Sunday afternoon on your couch watching the game with your best buds. Staying at home gives you the freedom to drink a little more, shout a little louder and potentially throw things when the going gets tough. You are also able to choose who is accompanying you on game day, which means no crazy guy next to you at the bar, and the pizza delivery guy isn’t going to be judging you on how many orders you place in a single afternoon. Of course, you don’t have the opportunity to bond with the local barkeep and meet other sports fans, but your kitchen fridge doesn’t put a limit on those brews and you will save some money.
In the Stadium
This is the best option by far. Who doesn’t want to be courtside at the Knicks? Or watching your favorite ball team in Wrigley Stadium? If you have the opportunity to get tickets to view your preferred team first-hand in stadium, take it! This is often the chance of a lifetime to view them up close and personal and tell stories for years to come. And you will never have a chance to catch that fly ball from the comfort of your couch. This is, however, the most expensive option so it is understandable that you may have to choose from the other two on most weeks. But if the day comes you get to be live in that stadium, don’t turn it down.
