Okay, this stuff is for mature readers only. So if you’re a girl still playing with your dolls or teddy bears, you may want to skip this. But if you’re really curious…
For guys who feel they’ve let down their bed mates because they came too quickly, don’t despair. Sex therapists in the US have found out it doesn’t take long to satisfy a woman in bed. Their findings will be published in the May 2008 issue of the Journal of Sexual Medicine, according to an Associated Press report this week.
In the surveys they conducted, the sex therapists found out that the optimal amount of time for sexual intercourse was just 3 to 13 minutes – a quickie indeed!
So what we’ve seen in those sex videos featuring extended sex scenes – as if the bunnies are powered by Energizer batteries – may not exactly be accurate.
The latest findings indicate that endurance is not really the key to a great sex life.
Oops, don’t celebrate yet, you quickie doers! According to the therapists, the 3 to 13 minutes optimum sex time does not include foreplay.
Researcher Eric Corty said prior research had shown that both men and women want foreplay and sexual intercourse to last longer.
Dr. Irwin Goldstein, editor of the Journal of Sexual Medicine, cited a four-week study of 1,500 couples in 2005 that found the median time for sexual intercourse was 7.3 minutes. In that study, women were required to wear stopwatches. Whew, just imagine 1,500 women looking at their watches while the action was going on.
It’s difficult for both older men and young men to make sexual intercourse last much longer, said Marianne Brandon, a clinical psychologist and director of Wellminds Wellbodies in Annapolis, Maryland.
“There are so many myths in our culture of what other people are doing sexually,” Brandon said. “Most people’s sex lives are not as exciting as other people think they are.”
Well, my take here is time does not matter as long as the matter remains timeless – whatever that means!
Actually, what I’m trying to say is, one just have to give the best performance of his or her life if he or she considers his or her partner deserving to receive such performance – regardless of the time involved.
(Note on illustration above: Knowing their “deliberate” nature, turtles would not make a good case study for a research like this.)
I’ve come across an interesting article from Yahoo.com’s Yahoo Green section. With the current escalating trend of the price of oil and gasoline (including their bi-products), the cost of owning a hybrid car is slowly making sense. People before think that gas cars are cheaper than hybrid (gas/electric) cars, and that hybrid will not pay [...]
This post is a continuation of my Cliff’s Notes for Who Moved My Cheese, the book by Spencer Johnson, M.D. (also the Author of The One Minute Manager). Hope you enjoy my annotations of the rest of the principles!

This is wise living.
I keep picturing this scene from Music and Lyrics where Hugh Grant (playing an 80’s singer Alex Fletcher) hires Drew Barimore (as Sophie Fisher, who plays as plant caretaker) to water his apartment plants. Obviously, Alex doesn’t care less what time his plants are fed and just keeps it for the “girls” so [...]
I was a little curious when I opened up my Yahoo page today. There was a box advertising a list of the 15 top movie villains of all time. Now being a movie fan myself, I often wondered why there wasn’t any lists of this sort. Did the superheroes craved the spotlights too much? Ah [...]
I’ve had my fair share of local and international travels. Everytime I “hit the road” I am always brought to “hit the wall” when the time comes to pack. I just couldn’t fit what I need to bring in a small suitcase. Really! My solution? Have the wife do the packing for me. I tell [...]
While summer can be the fun-filled time of the year IT CAN also be a huge debt trap. Every year, Americans splurge on summer expenses like trips, hotels, summer clothing, gears, and gadgets. Oh and all those have-nots that people just “need” to make summer extra perfect.
Every mall will hand out “special deals” to hook [...]
