Finally, I’m starting my workweek!
After an entire week of downtime, virtually doing NOTHING and feeling worthless, I’m only too glad to be making money err, working again.
Speaking of feeling worthless and for what it’s worth for women who love to multi-task, I’m listing here what I think I should do, and what I believe are essential for staying in tip-top shape, productivity-wise.
I believe that productivity is not a matter of pushing yourself to the limit. Rather, it’s a matter of getting that work-life balance thing down pat.
I think King Solomon got it right when he said that there is a “Time for everything.” When he said that balance is key (paraphrase), he actually summed up the essentials in life.
He is also backed by other thinkers and philosophers who actually agree that in life, balance is the key to well-being.
I had disagreed with that, vehemently, as I had actually lived by The Corrs’ philosophy: “[And] it really doesn’t matter if we don’t eat, and it really doesn’t matter if we never sleep..” Because I felt, well, “So Young”. :p
However, that is not the case. I am 23, and while others my age need their weekend parties to recharge for another workweek, I realized I needed my sabbaths. Being an extrovert, I feed off other people’s energies and attention. And so, I needed to be around like-minded people who could encourage me, and, well, pray for me.
Next post (Wednesday) will discuss my tips on how to make sure you are more productive by taking breaks and some other health measures. Meanwhile, it’s wishlist time once again.

Well, I am a firm believer that laughter is the best medicine. The gift of wholesome comedy had been my salvation in times of the deepest stress possible, so if you’re not a fan just yet, I suggest you troop on over to HappySlip’s homepage, and see why there are so many of us who are rabid fans of hers.
Meanwhile, my wishlist item for today is… A HappySlip DVD! I am praying I can get this for myself soon.. It’s just 5 cents shy of $30, and for a 2-disc DVD set worth only three Skype reloads, I believe this is soo worth it.
If you’re feeling a little Scrooge-y, then there’s the Season One highlights DVD, which costs only $19.95.
Not bad, when it’s just the price of a standard DVD anyway.
A little over a week to Christmas, everyone!
(For more of my salivations, troop on over to my blog.

This news is a little sad for me because I am a huge fan of the TV sitcom “The Office”. I’ve been following this show for the past two years and have really admired all the characters. One of my personal favorites was Daryl, the Dunder Mifflin warehouseman whom Michael (the boss) always always try [...]
This post is a continuation of my Cliff’s Notes for Who Moved My Cheese, the book by Spencer Johnson, M.D. (also the Author of The One Minute Manager). Hope you enjoy my annotations of the rest of the principles!
Principle # 5:
Move With the Cheese.

As you spot and adapt to change, you should not only prepare [...]
What is your carbon footprint? Hmm… ok, let’s start over… What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is a “measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide“.
Here’s a nifty tool from ivillage.com, an online calculator to measure carbon footprints. I think this is [...]
I just got myself a PSP slim today. What fun! I already have one PSP and the reason for this purchase was to try out the player vs. player mode of Sega’s Virtual Tennis. I could tell you we played for hours! While walking in the mall, at home in the living room, and [...]
It’s not only China that’s going bike crazy, Amsterdam is following the craze with bike rentals by the thousands. If you’re heading the windmill country you may want to consider breezing through the many wonders this city has to offer by riding one of them bicycles.
CNN travel correspondent Rick Steves has written a good [...]
We all remember how good ‘ol mom would always remind us to “brush your teeth before going to bed, dear”, or “use toothpaste for heaven’s sake” or “would you please brush your molars too?”. It was good for mom to do that, if they didn’t I think half the world (or even more) would be [...]
Actress Sienna Miller has won a case against a paparazzi photo published in the Daily Star. This photo was taken when she was waiting for an elevator in an LA building. The court ruled that Ms. Miller was clearly harassed and so therefore has decided in favor of Ms. Miller, this decision after viewing a [...]
