Well, after a five month delay, Gargoyles #2 is finally here. I won’t be very snotty about the crazy delay time; Greg Weisman formally appologizes at the end of the book and gives his word that this bi-monthly title will remain bi-monthly. I hope that’s true. The first two issues of Gargoyles, as you fans might notice, essentially adapted the first episode of the Goliath Chronicles, the unfortunate “third season” of Gargoyles which creator Greg Weisman was hardly associated with (and generally panned by fans). Well, the book will be taking an all-new direction starting with issue 3, so hooray for that. As it stands, this issue was great, mostly because I don’t remember the first episode of Goliath Chronicles all that well, so it felt pretty new to me. I hope to see more of Vinnie in the future, especially any encounter he might have with the Japanese Clan of Gargoyles. He was always one of my favorite returning characters in the show, so I hope to see more of him. There’s a little bit of character developement, but not much. The issue focues primarily on Goliath and Elisa running from the Quarrymen.Â
Anyhow, a good start, and so long as there are no more dealys, this should turn into a fantastic book.

Went to Barne’s and Noble today to drink a cup of Starbuck’s peppermint chocolate and to read MacWorld. I’ve just browsed through the first few pages when my daughter tugged my shirt to say “Dad, can you help me find Waldo?”. I knew what I was in for and I new I wouldn’t read my [...]
We all remember how good ‘ol mom would always remind us to “brush your teeth before going to bed, dear”, or “use toothpaste for heaven’s sake” or “would you please brush your molars too?”. It was good for mom to do that, if they didn’t I think half the world (or even more) would be [...]
