An April solo story taking place after TMNT vol. 4 #27. This issue focuses on April dealing with the truth about her “birthâ€, revealed back in TMNT #22. The story is a great April spotlight and beautifully plotted. The art is a little different from what TMNT readers have been seeing lately, but nice all the same an harkens a bit back to the Archie days. Watching April come to terms with her origin and finding the will to live was a great piece of character development and one of April’s strongest moments. Almost makes up for the wackiness of her origin retcon from TMNT #22. A great story for longtime TMNT readers, but the casual fan will probably find it boring.
