“Hearts of Steelâ€. Evolutions looks to be one of the better concepts to come the Transformers’ way in quite a while. An anthology series re-imagining the Transformers in various times and places. This time around, the Transformers re-activate on Earth circa the Industrial Revolution. Now, the story’s just getting started, mind you, but already it looks to be fascinating. The steam-engine locomotive designs for the characters look astounding. As far as the characters go, the human cast seems to consist of great historical and literary figures. In this issue alone we got Jules Verne, Mark Twain and John Henry. I can’t wait to see where that goes. A very promising start.
