“Hearts of Steel part 2â€. This is shaping up to be a very unique Transformers story. I love the concept behind this title; reinventing the Transformers in different eras of Earth history, exposing them to a wide variety of potential alternate modes. The whole steampunk angle of the Industrial Revolution is magnificent, and the writers are taking full advantage of the era in which they’re setting the tale. In this issue, the Decepticons take advantage of a naïve inventor, Tobias Muldoon, and trick him into helping them construct a new headquarters. The designs for all the Transformers look great and watching them interact with this historical period is a riot. I particularly liked the Decepticons trying to figure out the importance of currency.
