Just fantastic. I first came to appreciate Sixshot after watching the Japanese-exclusive Transformers: Headmasters television series. Sixshot was portrayed as a “ninja” of sorts, whose loyalty was only truly to himself. He fought for the Decepticons, but often wondered why. His power, also, was nearly unmatched.Â
I was thoroughly pleased to see that writer Simon Furman imported so many of those attributes into this comic. Sixshot never received much story-time in America; hardly any, infact. He was only glimpsed in both the original Marvel comic and the Dreamwave comics, and he got maybe 10 seconds of screen time in one episode in the last season of the television series. This comic is, really, his first actual notable appearance in Western Transformers fiction.
Sixshot is the Decepticons’ one-man-army, feared by everyone…including the Decepticons. He is antisocial, but the closest thing he has to “friends” are the Terrorcons, who aspire to be as feared and powerfulas Sixshot himself. The Terrorcons are taken prisoner on a distant planet by a group called the Reapers. Sixshot sets out to rescue his “friends”.
Very nicely done with some especially pretty artwork by Rob Ruffolo. Long time Transformers fans might also notice the return of a classic character from Simon Furman’s Marvel UK Transformers days: the Deathbringer (he appears as the leader of the Reapers). Awesome redesign on his part. So far, of all the titles IDW has released, Transformers Spotlight has consistently been the best. I look forward to seeing more of Sixshot and the Terrorcons in future Transformers books.

What is your carbon footprint? Hmm… ok, let’s start over… What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is a “measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide“.
Here’s a nifty tool from ivillage.com, an online calculator to measure carbon footprints. I think this is [...]
At 35 years old, Seth MacFarlane has made a great achievement. Not only has his creation been raking in top ratings, it has also earned him a spot into the $100 million dollar man circle. Yes, that’s right, for “The Family Guy”, “The American Dad” and “Cleveland” Fox studio has served him a $100 million [...]
If you’ve been to HongKong, you’d definitely know the distinct experience it offers to tourists, businessmen and long-term vacationeers. Culture is the main offering that this open city offers its visitors. A mix really of several south east Asian cultures such as Indian, Vietnamese, Filipino, Singapore/Malaysian and Thai. While the Chinese culture overwhelms it somehow balances out [...]
We all remember how good ‘ol mom would always remind us to “brush your teeth before going to bed, dear”, or “use toothpaste for heaven’s sake” or “would you please brush your molars too?”. It was good for mom to do that, if they didn’t I think half the world (or even more) would be [...]
