“Dawn of Future’s Past”. I am *very* grateful that this Botcon exclusive comic book has been given a major retail release. I was so envious of those who attended the Transformers convention and got to get their hands on this book. This issue acts as a prequel to the Beast Wars television series, featuring all the events that lead right up to the start of the first episode. Cybertron during the era of the Beast Wars is one of the most engaging and intriguing points in Transformers history, and sadly, we got to see very little of it in the animated series. This issue gives us a great scope of what Cybertron politics and military units are like during this period. All the characters from the TV series are there, though save for a handful, they are not referred to by name (as they chose their names in the first episode of the TV series). The Cybertronian modes for the characters were selected almost entirely from toys from the “Cybertron” toyline, and for the most part, they all suit them quite well. There are a few cameos from some G1 characters (I won’t ruin it for you) and lots of references that clear up a few muddy parts of the story. Overall, a *very* good Transformers book and an excellent prequel to the Beast Wars series.

What is your carbon footprint? Hmm… ok, let’s start over… What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is a “measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide“.
Here’s a nifty tool from ivillage.com, an online calculator to measure carbon footprints. I think this is [...]

If you’ve been to HongKong, you’d definitely know the distinct experience it offers to tourists, businessmen and long-term vacationeers. Culture is the main offering that this open city offers its visitors. A mix really of several south east Asian cultures such as Indian, Vietnamese, Filipino, Singapore/Malaysian and Thai. While the Chinese culture overwhelms it somehow balances out [...]
We all remember how good ‘ol mom would always remind us to “brush your teeth before going to bed, dear”, or “use toothpaste for heaven’s sake” or “would you please brush your molars too?”. It was good for mom to do that, if they didn’t I think half the world (or even more) would be [...]
