Noise Music Conference

May 20, 2008 By Jim

Something good coming out from way down under, New Zealand baby!  Title is cool, catching on a “whoaaah… waz that again” kind of reaction.  But definitely worth the second look.  Click the logo to jump to the website where now it sports a songwriting competition, a cool podcast.

If you’re into music… er, well now-a-days called “noise”, you have to attend this one.  Well, if you’re in NZ I mean.  But hey, if you can head on down to Kiwi land you won’t regret it anyway.  After the conference, there really is so much to see down there.

June 12-14 is the first Noise Music Conference:

Noise is the soundtrack for modern life. Over the past few decades that soundtrack has been radically transformed. Goodbye to blue suede shoes, black and white TV and Vietnam. Hello to justice, digitalisation, and denim that’s tight.

Hello to Noise. Three days of training from some of the best in the business. Making music well is what Noise is all about. About making your soundtrack the best possible track in the world. About learning some new skills to fuel your dreams and your actions.

With contributors like legends Darlene Zschech, Newsboy’s Paul Colman, Music Industry representatives and a whole host of stellar tutors, Noise will ensure that your journal gets jampacked with fresh inspiration. Showcases will ring out each night till late with some of the best local talent around, including Mumsdollar, Callista, Edwin Derricutt, Kingston, Lauren Thomson and a whole heap more.

Held under the spires of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell, Noise will be a visual and aural feast for your eyes and your soul.

If you’re serious about sharpening up your soundtrack, register now!
