A better continuation of the arc than the previous issue (which picked-up after a story from Tales of the TMNT). This series, as you can probably guess, has a heavy focus on Leonardo and his inner demons and responsibilities. The art in this issue is strictly the “negative” style, which is good, since despite the utter lack of detail it saves the reader from suffering the sight of Jim Lawson’s pencils. I, personally, am a Leonardo fan, so I’m enjoying the story and the character development within. People who don’t particularly like Leo, however, are probably going to be bored or irritated with this issue. Not much happened story-wise, but Leo’s character did advance in the right direction, finding a meaning in his life now that he’s blind. A decent follow-up, but still not an outstanding issue.
