Sagittarians are known to be great travelers though their idea of traveling isn’t entirely limited to plane tickets or road trips. Their love of exploration leads them to discover many, new places, new experiences and new things about others and about themselves.
So says my horoscope.
Anyway, as a Sagittarian, born December 20, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. From where I’m from, people call me jen_chan. I’m twenty years old, with a “pleasing personality” and a strange sense of humor that appears out of nowhere. Not unlike Lorie who’s just written a “pseudo-philosophical musing on Katie Holmes,” my boyfriend is also named Jay. BoyfriendJay is also not Wazzup World’s Jay Gotera.
This whole set-up amuses me. It makes one wonder what they’re doing up there. Maybe Froodee is destined for something really, really great. Hehehe ~:> Or it’s the center for all Jays of the world.
My dad just came home from Hong Kong last night. While his business there was purely business, everyone knows that Hong Kong is not just a birthplace for business proposals. I remember spending one summer vacation there. Though young, there were a few things that left quite an impression on my mind.
The tram ride to Victoria’s Peak. Ocean Park. Causeway Bay. And a pair of Donald Duck PJ’s my mom bought me from a very smiley street stall vendor.
Fast forward to 2007, it looks like Hong Kong is even bigger than ever.
There’s no better place to let a shop crazy person loose than in Hong Kong, I always say. With the never ending array of shops, malls, boutiques and street stalls, there are more than enough choices for everyone of every sort.
Through the years, Hong Kong has never lost its reputation for being a shopping haven. In fact, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is currently promoting the upcoming 2007 Hong Kong Shopping Festival that will last from June 30 to August 31. Think special deals and promotions!
This festival also covers other Hong Kong highlights such as Ocean Park (where you’ll meet a pair of baby Giant Pandas!) and Hong Kong Disneyland (with two new attractions!) You can also look forward to the Hong Kong Book Fair 2007, the 9th Ani-Com Hong Kong, the 4th Hong Kong Game Fair, the Lan Kwai Fong Food and Beer Festival and the Food Expo 2007.
These are just some of the many events Hong Kong has in store. As this year’s Shopping Festival coincides with a lot of other celebrations, expect a bigger and more extravagant Hong Kong in the coming months!
