Cooking is a great way to blow off steam. Even those who do not have much cooking experience can gain a lot of benefits spending some time in the kitchen and enjoying the fruits of their labor. For some, cooking is a necessity, but this fact does not have to take away from the experience.

One thing is for sure – both the seasoned cook and the newbie has to have access to different recipes and ideas. Naturally, there is the adventure of coming up with your own recipes, but even the best cooks will tell you that inspiration also comes from existing dishes and recipes.

Speaking of inspiration, here is something that will give you some assistance in that area. The newest recipe site in town is here to serve as your most important helper in the kitchen. Recipe Finder is a new search engine that features a host of dishes that anyone can make at home.

The advantage of Recipe Finder over other recipe sites is that it offers a collection of over a million recipes found online today. Recipe Finder crawls other recipe sites, doing away with the need of having to check individual sites over and over again. Consider it your one-stop recipe site! And with Recipe Finder regularly checking for new recipes, you are assured that you will always have something to new to discover.

Recipe Finder can help you get organized. It has a built-in menu creator which you can use to plan meals. Whether you are preparing for a normal everyday meal or a special one, the menu feature can make the planning so much easier for you. And if you want to plan meals days or weeks in advance, the calendar function will serve you perfectly. Finally, if you like having printouts of your recipes, you simply have to press the print button on the recipe page.

Searching for recipes on Recipe Finder is as easy as pie. You only have to enter the names of recipes or keywords in the search bar. If you have stricter requirements, you can make your search more specific by identifying details such as ingredients (include or exclude them), calorie count, cook time, number of servings, and so on.

Furthermore, you have two viewing options: text or images. If you want to get cooking immediately, the former option is perfect. If you want to choose recipes based on how the final product looks, then the latter is ace.

Eating out can be fun, but it can also be expensive. That is why a lot more people tend to spend some time in the kitchen creating their own delicious meals. Sure, it takes a little work, but it does help one relax and save money while at it. Of course, there is the anticipation for what comes after cooking – eating!
One trend that seems to be going strong is for people to patronize cooking- or food-related TV shows and web sites. Movies are not exempt, either! The popularity of celebrity chefs has largely contributed to this, and they have not hesitated to take advantage of this. There are also a considerable number of web sites dedicating themselves to providing recipes to the average person who makes meals in his or her own kitchen.
Speaking of recipe portals, there is a newcomer in the arena: Recipe Finder. This new site is a search engine that has been designed to provide users with the best recipes that can be found online. With more than a million recipes in the collection, Recipe Finder offers users more than other recipe sites. [Read more…]

Expand Your Cooking Repertoire Like a TV Chef With Recipe Finder

How many dishes do you have in your cooking repertoire? I love to cook, and I have been doing so since I was a young teenager. I have to admit, though, that I have always stuck to a small number of dishes that I know will not be disastrous for me – and for the people partaking of the meal. As the years went by, however, I did try out one or two new dishes every now and then. After all, you can only stand the same dishes for so long!

If you are in the same boat, then you would probably like a go-to resource that will take care of expanding your horizons, cooking-wise. There are countless web sites which you can visit for new recipes today. This is especially true thanks to the trend that celebrity chefs (and their cooking shows) have made popular. Indeed, there are even channels that focus on food and cooking entirely! One web site that I would not hesitate to recommend to you is Recipe Finder, which is the newest recipe search engine in town.

While you may have your one or two recipe portals already, the big advantage that Recipe Finder offers is its extensive collection of recipes. This search engine crawls the hundreds of web sites that have recipes and puts them together in one place. The result is brilliant – a one-stop shop for people looking for practically any recipe!

Finding new (and old, even) recipes is a breeze with Recipe Finder. You simply have to type the name of the recipe, and you’ll have a ton of results to choose from. And since Recipe Finder is all about making things easy and smart, you can even enter ingredients to find recipes. What’s even cooler is that you can find more specific recipes thanks to the Advanced Search function. Say you want to find a recipe for pot roast that will feed 6 people. You don’t want it to be more than 600 calories, and you don’t want to spend more then 3 hours cooking it. You can specify all those things and get recipes that match your preferences!

It’s really that easy and that simple.

Easter Egg Overload?

April 6, 2010 By Kelly

If you’re anything like us, you had way too many eggs over the Easter holiday. I suppose we do not really think about the days following the holiday – what are we going to do with all those eggs? Some are simply wasteful and throw them away. At this point in time, though, wastefulness is something that we shouldn’t even consider. So, what to do with all those Easter eggs?

The answer is simple: be as creative as you can and come up with new recipes to make use of those leftover eggs. I found some really mouthwatering recipes over at iVillage; here are my favorites, which I shall make use of!

Deviled Bacon and Eggs
All you need are the hardboiled eggs (of which you have plenty, I assume), some bacon, salt, mayo, and pepper. Get the yolk and mash it with the seasonings and mayo. Put the mashed yolk back into the egg whites and top with crispy bacon. Simple, isn’t it? I think I’m going to add some cayenne pepper for more kick.

Garlic Pickled Hard Cooked Eggs
Doesn’t the name make your mouth water? For this, you’ll need hardboiled eggs (without the shells, of course), pickle juice (just get the juice from a can or bottle of pickles), peppercorns, red pepper flakes, garlic cloves, bay leaves, and juniper berries. Combine all the ingredients in a jar huge enough to contain the eggs plus liquid. Keep in the fridge for at least 3 days. Dig in! According to the recipe, this can be kept in the fridge for 2 weeks before you need to throw it out. I think it 2 weeks won’t pass by before you eat it all up!
