There is a large percentage of business travel that happens in London. There are a lot of global conglomerates and business interests that have headquarters in the city so it’s quite common that many business transactions and meeting happen in London regularly. Corporate travelers go in and out of the city on a regular basis.

As a corporate traveler it would be a shame to visit one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in the world without enjoying your stay there. If you think you can’t mix business with pleasure – then think again. With a little careful planning and creativity, you can visit London for business but still have some activities for your personal enjoyment. Here are three tips you can follow:

Watch the theater

London is famous the world over for its amazing theater productions. Entertaining musicals and plays are always being performed at the West End. Why not catch a performance or two? You can pre-book tickets before you go to London, or you can just go to the theatre itself before a screening, which is actually also a good way to snag discounted tickets. Concerts are also something you can watch while in London. Majority of artists who are on tour will always play a few dates in London. This might be a chance for you to catch your favorite music artist live especially if you live in a country where not a lot of foreign artists visit.

Have a culinary adventure

London has become one of the world capitals for gastronomic delights. Gone are the days when British cuisine has been called bland or unimaginative. Over the last decade, the British have injected a new level of energy to its culinary environment. There are so many talked-about restaurants in London that you can visit – from the expensive (but worth its price) Michelin-starred restaurants, to various local establishments that are the Brits’ best kept secrets. There are just so many gastronomic adventures you can undertake while you’re in London.

Book a serviced apartment

While booking a stay in a hotel is the most common form of accommodations when traveling, there are better alternatives out there. For example, luxury serviced apartments are growing in popularity because it offers lot of space and in-apartment amenities at prices that can rival hotel rates. Why not go on some form of staycation and book a luxury serviced apartment. The luxurious space and the chance to cook your own meals will make you feel very comfortable and relaxed. You can even invite colleagues and have a small get together at your apartment.

These three tips are just some of the ways you can effectively mix business and pleasure while in London. Of course, you can adapt these tips and use them in any country you’re visiting.
