Starr Jones fired — again

February 1, 2008 By Marie F

The Star Jones Show has been cancelled.

The show was supposed to use Star Jones’ law background (she was a former Brooklyn prosecutor) to marry law and entertainment.

It didn’t click. Though the cable network, TruTV, says it was “by mutual agreement” in light of “rebranding and programming refocus” we all know it’s because Starr is just way too annoying for anyone to watch for 30 minutes.

She has been demoted to “contributing legal expert” in the trial coverage of In Session. This is the second time (remember the famous exit from The View) that Starr has been fired.

Starr, when your only claim to fame is the OJ Simpson trial and losing a couple of pounds, you got to start thinking about whether or not you’re right for this biz. Four words: go back to law.
