UK managers are shedding the Scrooge-like demeanor they have shown in past Christmases.
According to an annual survey by the Chartered Management Institute , the attitude of bosses towards planning Christmas parties, gift-giving and making charitable donations has changed over the last 12 months.
Less than one-fifth of respondents complained about the Christmas celebrations compared to only 16 per cent last year who indicated that they enjoyed themselves. The number of firms that are planning to hold Christmas parties are also up, after an almost two-year decline.
Company formation and business solutions experts are advising managers and business owners to use this time to show their appreciation for their staff’s hard work.
