Skills gap worsened by housing shortage

December 14, 2005 By Gordon

A lack of appropriate premises is worsening the skills shortage for London businesses.

This was the result of a new study by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and KPMG which showed that the problems associated with finding affordable and quality property in London and the South East is having an impact on 75 per cent of the capital’s firms.

As a result of this, many companies are now facing a restricted labour pool and employers in the region are now suffering from skills deficiencies worse than the others.

Company formation and business solutions experts are already welcoming the government’s announcement to review the situation and hopefully find a solution to the current problem.
