UK Patent Office opens new online service

Small business owners and entrepreneurs are being urged to take advantage of a new online service that would give them the opportunity to ask experts in order to avert any potential patent disputes.

The service, which was launched by the UK Patent Office, stresses the Government’s pledge to boost patent protection for small businesses as well as freelance professionals are indicated in the Patents Act 2004. For a fee, people who are either in the middle of a patent dispute or seeking to test their claim’s strengths before actually going into litigation.
