This is it, the Punisher’s big return to the world of Superheroes. The Max series has had occasional cameos from Marvel Universe characters, like Nick Fury, but really no *superheroes*. Well, Frank Castle has come back and is now hunting down rogue super villains…and it’s great. The sense of dark humor is still there, though it isn’t the same as Garth Ennis’ over-the-top psycho humor. The book is a riot, as Frank goes after morts like the Stilt-Man and the Terrible Tinkerer. G.W. Bridge is hired by Shield to take Frank down once and for all. I had almost forgotten about that guy. There’s also a new Microchip introduced…not sure how I feel about that. Overall, this is a great start to what will hopefully be another quality Punisher book.
