The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Fearbook

July 10, 2006 By Spengs

Much better than the previous “The Grind” story arc and definitely more in-tune with Avatar’s first Texas Chainsaw Massacre one-shot.  These stories work best in the one-shot format, I think, as it skips the frustrating “chase” scenario that killed “The Grind” and gets straight to the one thing Texas Chainsaw Massacre fans care about: the torture.  There’s a nice homage to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 at the very end, the scene is actually executed better in the comic than it was in the movie.  Overall, this was the best of all the “Fearbook” one-shots Avatar released.
