Well, the big selling-point for this issue was The Return of the Shredder! Regretfully, that aspect of the story got overshadowed by Mike’s story. Still, we at least found out the identity of this Shredder, and I am very intrigued. Maybe next issue they’ll cover it more in-depth (waiting 2 months is gonna be hard). I may not be Jim Lawson’s biggest fan, but I will say this; he draws a damn-good Shredder. Well, the bulk of the issue focuses on Mike’s story, bringing us up to speed on Triceraton history since Volume 1 of the comic. The segment isn’t very action-packed, but it makes for an engaging history lesson for people acquainted with the extensive comic book mythos. It also casts a new light on the previously 2-dimensional Triceratons. While this issue felt like sort of a tease, it’s definitely got me geared-up for the next installment. So kudos for that.
