I was listening to ta talk radio show while driving from Wiscosin to Chicago last night. There were two broadcasters talking about how terrible it must be to wait for a pink slip from the boss. Pink slips in this part of the world is an official memo that may contain the words “this is your last day in the job. You are being let go”.
There were a few chuckles exchanged, I even smiled a bit when a joke is passed on to and fro… but the general thought about this entire issue is… IT IS A SERIOUS MATTER FOR EVERYONE.
The US economy is not getting any better and a side effect to the plunging economy is the RISING blood pressure. Blood pressure is the force of the blood against the artery walls. High blood pressure (hypertension) and low blood pressure (hypotension) can both cause cardiovascular problems.
Over at Walgreens, there are digital blood pressure monitoring devices available for under US$100. GET ONE if you’re a little too worried about a lot of things these days, specially the job, the economy, the general welfare of the family.
