Do you know that there are a lot of little things you can do around the house that can lead to significant savings on your electric bill? Below are some helpful tips:
1. Always turn off the lights. Pretty basic, but the truth is many of us forget to turn off the lights when we leave a room or don’t need it anymore, and this brings significant results in your energy audit. Have a habit of flipping off the switch and this shall benefit you in time.
2. Use energy-saving bulbs. Energy experts such as www.synergy.net.au advise the use of decreased wattage of bulbs as well as dimmers to conserve energy. In areas where you do not need too bright lighting such as in the porch, use compact fluorescent lamps that not only save energy and generate less heat, they give an amazing dimmed aura as well.
3. Unplug it. Make sure to unplug any electric item that you don’t use consistently and those you would not use during sleeping hours. You can use a power strip and unplug the power strip at night because all your computer plugs plugged into a power strip still use electricity.
4. Don’t use the heat dry option on your dishwasher. If you are using the heat dry setting on your machine, take note that you are wasting a lot of money. Heat drying is unnecessary and a lot of newer models don’t have the setting anymore for this. If you still practice this, cutting it out can save you a lot of money on your electric bill.

Unfortunately, once the raise arrives, these very same people often find themselves still struggling to make ends meet; living from pay check to pay check. Puzzled over their predicament, they end up working longer hours to make even more money, not [...]

Nowadays though, with LCD TVs getting more affordable and LED TVs getting bigger, having a flat screen TV is not something new. In fact, you’ll see flat screen TVs everywhere. If you are among the millions people who, like me, use TripAdvisor to check out and compare accommodations before booking a hotel, you might want to learn how to spot fake reviews. Reconciliations heal the soul. Strife and tension never was anyone’s cup of tea. I know that most people seem to be able to stand decades of their lifetimes bitter, angry, and unforgiving of the people who have hurt them, but I am of the belief that unforgiveness and anger should never be the hallmark of [...]
With a newborn son whose life I’m projecting way into the future, I’ve been thinking a lot about college lately. In the United States, going to college is the social norm.
