I’ve been thinking… are we a specie driven by weights? From the time one is born it is a standard for one to be placed on top of a scale. I would understand that, plus the occasional weighing in for health and/or professional purposes as age progresses. For some culture the heavier one is the better, for some… less is more appropriate. To the greater majority the average varies, depending on which magazines you read. 🙂
A lot of people get really stressed out if they appear to be heavier than what they would want. Yes, it’s true! I’ve heard of some who steps on weighing scales every morning… some are a little scarier though, weighing themselves after each and every meal. Or everytime they go for number 2.
I think it’s media in general that drives people crazy. When you see a new ad by Paris Hilton posing a sleek frame you’d see the ladies just mentally calculating how many calories they need to shed to fit the dress. Oh my! I hope we can just let go off these wild impressions and expressions and just look at weight vis a vis your health.
Visit a doctor and ask how low can you go, or just what he thinks should be your ideal square. You’d thank me later on… let go of that dangerous habit of looking down for the figures… and enjoy life more!
