Earthquakes in 2008

May 6, 2023 By Jim

I’m not really sure why they’re taking center-stage in 2008.  I mean of all the years, isn’t it odd that most news grabbing quakes are all happening this year?  I am a little suspicious, but the devastations has been escalating… floods, super storms, eartquakes… and it’s a global phenomenon.  There must be a tally somewhere that says how much of these natural disasters are going on.

CNN has reported that yet another one has struck Japan and Indonesia, and both quakes have been measured and exceeded 6.6 magnitude all with an epicenter just off shore.

It is noted that earthquake magnitudes between 6.0 and 6.9 are considered strong by USGS (United States Geological Survey).

We hardly can’t do anything to prevent these, as these are natural collision by the earth’s plates.  What we’re all advised though is to remain very vigilant by observing earthquake warnings very seriously.  Warnings are all we’re equipped to avoid temporary or permanent effect to our lives.
