American Music awards affirms “Idol Power”

The 35th Annual American Music Awards might as well be renamed “American Idol Reloaded” as former contestants stole the show. Carrie Underwood got another three trophies for best country female artist, country album, and text-in audience favorite (as if she didn’t know that from the other three she got at the Country Music Awards). Chris Daughtry, on the other hand, got favorite pop rock album, and was named breakthrough artist and adult contemporary artist.

But hey, whatever happened to Taylor Hicks?
