Now this comic came at me from out of the blue. Being a fan of the original film as well as the TV series, I snatched this book up the second I saw it on the shelf. Written by J. Torres with art by Michael Chang Ting Yu, Wildstorm’s Ninja Scroll comic does a remarkable job of maintaining the spirit of the Ninja Scroll film and TV series. Jubei’s presented in perfect character, with his carefree attitude and swordsmanship in peak form. Gotta love the cliffhanger ending, too. Can’t judge the entire book by this one issue, but it certainly is looking good.
