I wasn’t as impressed with this issue as I was with the previous one, primarily because it copped out of last month’s cliffhanger and it doesn’t feel like a whole lot happened. Still, with all that’s been going on, it is kind’ve nice to have a breather, especially considering the insane amount of story revelations from last issue. Having been a reader of Spawn since Day 1, I’m very attached to the characters. I’m actually worried about what’s going to happen to Granny Blake. Another great thing about Spawn is that the characters are allowed to age at a decent rate. Cyan has really turned into a brave young lady and you feel a sense of satisfaction since, over the years, you really did watch her grow up. All in all, this story is gearing up for something monumental: the End of the World. It’s what was promised to you in the very first issue of the series, and now it’s finally here. I must say, so far, it has exceeded my expectations.
