Rapper 50 Cent has boldly declared that he will stop releasing solo material if his album doesn’t outsell Kanye West’s newest effort. Both albums drop to record stores September 11 and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
50 Cent’s last album – “The Massacre” was the best selling album of 2005. It sold a staggering 1.14 million copies in its first week in the market. Kanye West’s latest album also hit stores that year. The album “Late Registration” sold more than 860,000 copies in seven days.
50 Cent will continue to collaborate and write with other artists if he loses the duel though.
