This year is shaping out to be a great year for family movies. Parents wanting to bond with their kids will surely be happy with the movie selection this year. Here’s a list of movies coming out (or that are already out but you can still catch) that both you and your kids can enjoy.
Evan Almighty (PG)
Evan Almighty is a blockbuster earning around $20 million on its opening night, which isn’t as big as Bruce Almighty’s earnings but is still big enough to be one of the top earners this year. The film is hilarious. With Steve Carrell and hundreds of animals as cast you’re sure to get great lots of laughs. Ratatouille (G)
Ratatouille , pronounced rat-a-too-ee, is truly a movie for everyone. Even the really young ones can see this film and enjoy the sight
of a cooking rat. I have been waiting for this to come out and it’s finally opening today all over US. For more fun after the movie you might want to eat some real French ratatouille. Click on this link for a classic and more modern approach to making ratatouille.
Transformers (PG 13)
Great movie to watch with your teens. Of course they might prefer to watch with their friends but if you grew up with Transformers, like I did, you wouldn’t let a few teenagers see this before you do. The movie opens July 4 in US but is already showing in Asia! Yipee. Transformers more than meets the eye….
