Nicole Richie Gets Slammer Time Too!
Images of Paris Hilton being arrested to serve out a 23-day sentence are still fresh in everyone’s mind but it seems like there’s no stopping these young celebrities from getting a booking at their local jail. Just a couple of days following Lindsay Lohan’s arrest, Hilton’s co-star in the reality show “The Simple Life” is now facing jail time as well after being sentenced to 90 hours in prison for driving under the influence in December. Richie was apprehended after 911 calls from disgruntled motorists alerted officials that the daughter of famed songwriter Lionel was driving in the wrong direction on a freeway just off Burbank.
Ritchie previously spent six hours and jail, so instead of the original 96 hour sentence (exactly four days), her sentence was reduced to an even 90. Aside from the jail time, Nicole will also have to pay a fine of $2,048. She will also be in probation for the next three years. Superior Court Commissioner Steven K. Lubell added that should Richie be caught driving under the influence again or driving without a license, she will be sentenced to a year in prison.
Despite driving on the wrong side of a relatively fast-moving stream of vehicles, no untoward incidents were reported. No motorists were harmed. It is still unclear where the sentenced will be served out.
With Paris, Lindsay and Nicole getting arrested so close to each other, you’re almost left to wonder why Britney’s still a free woman!
LiLo: Flushing her life down the toilet
It seems to be that way for poor, poor Lindsay Lohan. Why she’s doing what she’s doing only she and her “toilet” know.
Days after being released from rehab for drunk driving, LiLo has once again been arrested for drunk driving and drug possession.

Lindsay, 21, was pulled over just after 2 a.m. today, July 24, on Main Street near the Civic Center in Santa Monica, California after her vehicle was observed chasing another vehicle. Police determined that LiLo had been drinking, and arrested her for drunk driving and driving on a suspended license.
What’s even worse this time is that “The Mean Girls” actress was found to have cocaine in her pocket when officers booked her. And while she refused a Breathalyzer test when she was pulled over, later at the police station she blew a .12, far above California’s .08 legal limit.
But, alas, Lindsay is loose again. She was released on $25,000 bail until her arraignment on August 23.
Beverly Hills police said they are seeking a felony charge of cocaine possession against Lindsay. “Ms. Lohan was never formally booked for possession because we were still investigating that portion of the case,” explained Lt. Mitch McCann, spokesman for the BHPD. “But I can confirm … we are seeking that felony count.”
If charged and convicted of both driving under the influence-related incidents (she still has not been formally charged by prosecutors from her arrest in May), Lohan will face a minimum four-day jail sentence. However, her lawyer could argue for rehab or community service in lieu of incarceration.
Police received a 911 call from the mother of Lindsay’s former personal assistant, saying that Lohan was chasing her in an SUV, officials said.
Lindsay, who completed a more than six-week stint in rehab earlier this month and previously had checked into a recovery clinic in January, still faces DUI allegations connected to a Memorial Day weekend hit-and-run crash in Beverly Hills.
Her attorney, Blair Berk, said Lindsay had relapsed and was again receiving medical care at an undisclosed location.
With two trips to rehab behind her and a litany of legal problems in front of her, Lindsay joins a long list of young talents who’ve faced high-profile battles with drugs: River Phoenix, Drew Barrymore, Corey Feldman, Anissa Jones, Danny Bonaduce, and Macaulay Culkin. Some have gone on to enjoy healthy careers. Others died before reaching adulthood.
Lindsay’s latest legal troubles may cost her movie roles. She was set to start shooting “Poor Things,” a comedy featuring Shirley MacLaine, when she entered rehab in May. At the time, producers said they were “trying to rearrange the shooting schedule” to accommodate Lindsay.
Lindsay’s latest film, “I Know Who Killed Me,” is set to open soon.
